22 oz bottle courtesy of Brock_Landers: John also had this beer on the way to the FSU-Rice game. Poured yellow-orange with a large white head. The aroma to me reminded me of a Hefeweizen. It even looks hefeweizenish. The hops are present but also noticed notes of banana. Maybe from the yeast? Not what I would classify as a double IPA. Moderate hopping and not real malty. Still a nice beer with a different twist to it from the everyday IIPA’s.

Impressively thick and still, with large strands of sediment just floating there near the bottom of the glass. Peach-coloured, which makes me wonder if the apricot notes I detected in the finish were psychosomatic. Nevertheless, there was a fresh fruity presence somewhere in the bitter, almost brackish concoction, with sharp malty notes I’ve come to expect from this brewer. It’s a nice variation on their skull-crushing, heavy, sweet Belgian-style beers, but a bit left-field for my tastes.

Rating #1 Tap @ Toronado (6 3 7 3 17). A hazed golden color. Smooth and light on the palate as if it was a cask version (unfiltered). Slightly sweet with a citrus, caramel, and grassy finish. Deseptively strong but goes down very well. Rating #2 Bottle (6 4 7 3 16). A bright golden orange color with rising bubbles and lush thick lasting foam white head. A rather light citrus, yeast, orange, and mild floral aroma. Very smooth and not thick and syrupy like many IIPAs. Rather light in flavor but well balanced and very enjoyable.

Cloudy pale bronze, sloppy white soap sud head. Nose was grapefruit-like. Plump yet possibly with a touch of musty spice. Bitter and dry with medicinal citrus flavors and rindish finish. Clean enough and enjoyable but lacking distinct character.

Thick copper color with big dirty white head. Nice and big hoppy nose. Flavor was big and hoppy, then it just flowed into an alcohol finish. It takes a few oz to mellow out, but it really grows on you.

beer pours a pale, severely chill-hazed gold with a thinnish white head that retains poorly and leaves minimal lace. grassy, resiny nose with some citric undertones, and some light malt toastiness. flavor starts with just a slip ofmalt sweetness that is heavily stepped on by some big, fairly clean bitterness. rather dry. fairly nice

[Bottled. Marsiblursi delivers] Hazy orange colour. White head. Pale, citrusy/grapey nose. Very clean and does not seem so malty. Funky citrusy flavour with grapey bitterness. Good funky-pale-sourish flavour profile, unusual in 2IPA’s.

JSquire, Hotstuff and I had this at a tasting party at his house last night. This bottled brew from a rating party poured a very large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored slow rising bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a semi-hazy softly carbonated yellow colored body and a thick foamy lacing. It had a funky mild floral hop malt aroma. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong floral hop aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of floral hops that was smooth and not at all biting. Delicious and one I would certainly drink again.
