Smells of hops, pines, flowers, and grapefruit. Taste is hoppy and floral with strong malt undertones of caramel. Aftertaste is maltier than initial taste nice with some nice piney notes. Syrupy feel, which is unusual for the style of the beer, but nice. Very impressive. DuffMan (2766), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 19, 2009 Cloudy dirty yellow, thick rocky head of eternal retention that leaves thick creamy lace. Sweet biscuity malt and perfumey fruity hops (passionfruit and lychee come to mind). Creamy, heavy, malty, with abundant deliciously fruity hops. If there is cascade in here, it takes a backseat to some other varieties for a change. Beautifully done. gputty (456), Virgina Beach, Virginia, USA

Nose is HOTD, large citrus, candied grapefruit, spicy and rich. Flavor is an even bigger version of the nose well balanced with the malt. Lingering spruce finish. boFNjackson (1310), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | May 20, 2007 Bottle... Poured a hazy, burnt orange color with a tiny white, fizzy head. So orange and unfiltered that if the tone was a little lighter it could be mistaken for a wheat beer. A lot of people complain about unfiltered IPAs but I love the look. Aroma is mellow for the power this beer has, just faint malt and hop. Slight sizzle on the palate, flavors of strong, piney hops, caramel, lemons and berries, and earthy floral undertones. This was an awesome brew. Just what I needed after a seven day work week. nolankowal (854), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Pours a hazy golden color with a yellow-light cream colored head that dissapates quickly to a film. Super fresh aroma, mass amounts of citrus complimented with some light pine, candied fruit and a bit of black pepper. Bitter and dry flavor: grapefruit, lemon zest, belgian yeast, pepper, and some very light and dry malt. Sturdy body with a fairly delicate mouthfeel and a lively carbonation that isn’t overkill. Overall, a fresh, floral IIPA that resides more on the dry end than the sticky and sweet side...a nice take on the style. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 15, 2007 Brew courtesy of fordest. Pours a faintly hazy yellow-ish orange and white head. The aroma is sweet hops from orange juice, orange peel and hard orange candy. The flavor is a smooth progression from tangy orange juice, grapefruit and then orange rind. There’s also a mild sweet sugar maltiness in the background. Seems to be a mix of both hop bitterness and hop flavor. Very tasty. TPaliga (212), Munster, Indiana, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 11, 2006 Pours cloudy golden with billowy white head. Aroma is resiny, perfumy hops. Aroma is over the top hops. This is the most bitter IPA I have ever had and I love every minute of it. Excellent. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Bottle from FlacoAlto, Thanks! Pours a light, very hazy golden with an initially enormous, frothy, off-white head that collapses to a consistent lace. Very earthy, musty aroma. There’s tons of yeast, damp barnyard, spicy orange, white pepper, lemon zest, and a thick bread-y background. Lively carbonation on the palate. Flavor is spicy, earthy, and dirty. Soft peach, citrus/orange fruits come through in the mid-palate. It seems rye malt always works very well with highly hopped brews. There’s a great graham cracker/cookie background, giving it a solid body. More tropical fruit character comes through with warmth giving it a mango touch. Initially this is a very earthy/dirty beer which develops more hop character while it sits and warms. The finish is a nice spicy/peppery dryness with a hint of roast. Extremely drinkable, and unique IIPA.
