had this on tap at the brewery. recently tried doggie claws bottle for the first time - so have a reasonably timed comparison. the cherry blossom honey really seemed to add nicely to the flavors. was my favorite of theirs before and is even better with the addition. wish I could get more of it.

Tasted @ Hair of the Dog Brewing Company in Portland.
Special 2007 edition. Hazy dark amber colored brew. Very sweet aroma, sweet fruits, cherries, honey and brown sugar. Malty, brown sugar, honey and some sweet bourbon. Overall pretty sweet, but still very enjoyable. Signs of a very good brew.

On tap at Hair of The Dog. Pours out a dark amber topped with a ligth head. Aroma of sweetness all over this one. The tast was great thick rich malt, brown sugar. Pretty sweet but very tasty. Thanks Alan for pouring me a nice glass of this very tasty BW.

Hard Liver 2008. Floral, sweet aroma. Very sweet honey dominates. Thick with bitter hops. Too sweet and cloying. Far off from the original. Still on tap as of April 4th.

snifter @ hard liver - dark orange with thin head around the edges; smooth aromas of honey, fruit and lavender; very thin in texture compared to the chewy normal editions; flavors are sweet and again lots of honey; malty backbone is present, but much reduced; seems like a very different brew, but just as delicious; smooth and creamy finish
