Bottled. Aroma has overripe fruits, oranges, oak, caramel vanilla and hops. Hazy, orange coloured with an off-white head. The taste is sweet and has bitterness. Quite well balanced. It has caramel, overripe and fresh fruits, oak and some port/cognac/whisky tones. Well bodied & full. Good beer

Cloudy amber with a huge head. Fruity and oaky aroma with a lot of herbs in it. The flavour is very fullfilling for a barley wine: a bit heavy on the alcohol with dusty hop notes and a lot of sweet caramel and vanilla.

Poured from a 2008 bottle revealing an orange gold color with a thin white head. Aromas are sweet with orange, honey, and peach. Mouthfeel is ultra smooth. Luscious complex flavors of caramel, fruit, malt, and fresh oak. Good long finish leaves you wanting more. Great beer!!!

Bottle from the Pizza Port Carlsbad shop. Pours a murky copper color with a trim off-white head. Smells of orange rind and oak. Loaded with malt and caramel in the flavor, very chewy, with a strange element of tobacco. A hearty brew.

Orange color with large (for a barley wine) off-white head. Plenty of wood taste. Mild spices. Good roasted malt taste. Fruity aroma. Reasonable aftertaste.
