Cloudy orange with explosive head. Aroma of orange and malt. Big malty taste, well balanced by a background light hoppy bitterness. Very mild spice. Subtle and complex.

Bottled, brought by NoiZe. Hazy orange color, short head. Aroma of hop, caramel malt, vanilla, wooden barrels, fruity. Malty and fruity taste, hint of whisky, vanilla, orange. The more I think about it, the more I taste in it. Very complex and very nice beer.

12 oz. 2008 bottle. Drank along side the non-wood version. This one is better. Very little head, cloudy golden color with no bubbles. Aroma is earthy, old oak, hints of red wine and that aged hop funkiness. Flavor is caramelized fruit, pineapple, honeysuckle, oaky vanilla and nice hop bitterness. That oak really lingers along with a little alcohol. Full bodied.

Bottle, thx to Noize. Hazy amber colour. Aroma has vanilla, caramel and fruits. Flavour has sweet and sour red fruits, with roasted and caramel malts. Oily and syrupy. Well balanced. Amazing beer.

2007 Bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen. A lot of aromas! Wood, dill, hops etc. I expected a more full body, but even with its medium body it works. Oak taste is very present along with some flowery notes.

Bottle. Orange-brown colour. Very hazy. Complex aroma. Honey. Flowers. Dill. Tastes like an "imperial old ale". Lots of malted barley. Also fruity. Hops. Chocolate. Roasted oaky aftertaste.

Bottle at home. Vintage 06 Batch #64. Pours a clear amber with a few floaties. Smells a bit of dried fruits. Sweet with almost too strong aromas of oak. Also aromas of alcohol and caramel. Hint of nuts. Full bodied. Soft carbonation. Long and very bitter finish with more oak aromas.
