The aroma is unassuming, so you don’t expect the interesting flavors you get. I an only describe it as "old" tasting, and I mean that in a good way. I was surprised not to yearn for hops. jimbowood (955), Athens, Georgia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 18, 2008 Draft @ HOTD. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with the slightest green tinge; thin off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. solid amounts of candy sugar, oranges, and general bitterness in the aroma. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: not a ton of squash flavor here, but instead a very drinkable, well-attenuated candy sugar and dried orange core with plenty of balancing mineral bitterness; really nicely done, balanced ale with lots of candy sugar presence. Medium finish: dried fruits (oranges, esp.), candy sugar, and light lasting bitterness. NoiZe (1361), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands

Orange colored brew. Beer fits the Higgins restaurant well. Vergatable, spicy aroma. Malty, spicy, earthy, yeasty and vegetables in the flavor. Interesting brew.
