Apple, tart and slightly burnt aroma. Flavor is sweet, a bit yeasty, soy, more green apple with some smoke background. Lucious palate, really coats everything. Very unique beer that I think will be sublime with some age on it. petematte46 (225), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 2, 2009 12 oz bottle big thanks to BrewDad, you are the man! What a treat. Pours a dark brown-near black color with a tiny almost non-existent head even with a vigorous pour. The aroma; well where do I start? Sweet tart apples, alcohol, sweet Belgian candies, rich malts, chocolate. A ton here. The flavor is initially lots of rich chocolates, tons of sugary sweets, apple brandy or some other sweet alcohol, super complex. Interesting and very nice. Complex as hell. Rating number 1200. moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA
