Bottled, thanks xmarcnolanx! Pours thick with mahogany colour, almost no head. Woody pear abd orange aroma. Concentrated flavours with plenty of smoke, wood and caramel. Very powerful with massive amounts of soft malt backing up the high alcohol creating a warming, full flavoured concotion that are to be enjoyed very carefully.

Bottle generously shared by JCB. Pours dark brown with reddish tint. Sweet nose in the way that many HOTD beers are sweet. Apples, complex malt. Some wood and vanilla/bourbon. Mild smoke/tobacco/leather. Goodness in a bottle.

A Mes rate. Bottle at home.
Very dark amber chestnut with a thin but stable off white head. Bloody hell. I was expecting this to be good but Christ on a bike, this is a belter. Big and boozy all round. Stunning apply calvados that reminds me a lot of of Neige Ice Cider blended perfectly with the bourbon and chocolate. Faint honey, lots of fruity sweetness. Seriously complex, fantastically rich and decadent. Amazing length, amazing balance considering how much it has going on. Utterly excellent beer. Thanks as always Grant.

12 oz bottle. Inky brown with a hazy slick and a few bubbles. Nose is licorice, caramel, apple jack, vanilla and chocolate; luscious. A silky sipper with a mild bite and a lingering, warming buzz. Taste is raisin, caramel, wood and tart blackberry. Finishes with peppery orange marmalade and dark chocolate. Lush and intoxicating.

Thanks Fidel for going to Portland to bring this one back! Pours deep caramel brown. with no head. Nose is fruity and sweet sugars, maybe some vinous fruit? Same in the flavor with bourbon and vanilla nicely adding complexity and a bit of heat. Smooth mouthfeel.
