Thanks Fidel for going to Portland to bring this one back! Pours deep caramel brown. with no head. Nose is fruity and sweet sugars, maybe some vinous fruit? Same in the flavor with bourbon and vanilla nicely adding complexity and a bit of heat. Smooth mouthfeel.

What a treat.....a sample was poured for me at the Brouwers Cafe (thanks Ian!). In the bottle for a yr (or so). Dark brown/black..minimal tannish head. Great nose...vanilla, a little booze, slight smoke....good stuff. Great choco flavor....a little roasty too....light smoke coming through...glad I let it sit for a bit as it was a bit too chilly initially. Smooooth mouthfeel....great stuff. Thanks Ian for sharing!!

God bless you fishingnet for sharing this awesome beer. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Nose is chocolate, cocoa, bourbon, vanilla, some smoke/ band-aid, and some fruitiness. Flavor is chocolate, burnt sugar, cherry, smoke, and cocoa. With a silky-smooth mouthfeel, this full-bodied beer leaves the mouth with lingering smokey chocolate. Excellence.

Big thanks to fishingnet for scoring several of these. You ROCK my friend. It pours deep dark brown with copper edges and thin tan head. The aroma is fruity, tart (a bit of crushed aspirin maybe), some booze, rich ripe dark cherries and smooth rich malts way in the back. In the taste I get a high level of something I like to call: holy shit good. That level of goodness is brimming with rich creamy dark fruitiness along with chewy rich malt sweetness. Nice combination. It then gets a somewhat ripe cherry like flavor to go along with additional notes of caramel, dark ripe grapes, molasses and some booze. Yummy, sweet, and full of assertive yummy goodness. Everything I like in a beer.

12oz bottle. Big thanks to 5000 for trading this to me. Pours deep brown, capped with a thin tan head that fades to a ring of bubbles encircling the glass. Beautiful aroma; apple, chocolate, bourbon, chocolate, sour cherry and pear are the predominant aromas, with caramel, dark fruit and smoke in the background. Flavor begins with smoke, peat and chocolate. Apple is more dominant in the aroma than on the palate. Caramel, vanilla, bourbon, alcohol, dark fruit, oak and apple add complexity. Peat, smoke and bourbon stick around for a long finish. It’s a bit on the hot side, but otherwise this is delicious.

HUGE thanks to fishingnet for sharing these bottles. Pours a deep murky brown. Nose is loads of malt, bourbon, moonshine, honey, toffee and caramel. Flavor is feint apple, warming alcohol, big bourbon, loads of roast malt, smoke, smooth toast grain, cocoa, hints of coffee, dark fruit. Absolutely amazing beer.
