The emperor has no clothes. Bottle. Very dark brown. I thought it had a red/purple tinge while pouring. No head. Not a big aroma, hint of fruit and ash. Almost a liqueur. Dark alcohol fumes in the finish and aftertaste. Smoke and ash, possibly hte advertised apple, alcohol, chocolate and coffee.

Bottled. Burgundy coloured. Light brown head. Sweetness, berries, ripe fruits and alcohol in the nose. Flavour is roasted, swete, alcoholdense has loads of alcohol, notable chocolate and wood. Light spices as well. Nice and complex and actually quite balanced. Quite full bodied. Is sweetish and alcoholdense in the end. Has a somewhat grapish touch as well.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a small redish glare and a minimal white head. Cherry fruity and roasted malt aroma. Sweet malty and light honey like flavoured. Smooth fruity and roasted malt flavoured. Lingering smooth finish with a nice malt, cherry and honey mix of flavours. Just my simple reference of flavours.

Bottled. A brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, roasted malt, wood, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, chocolate, wood, and over ripe fruits, leading to an alcoholic finish.

No head, flat as a pancake; near-black beer with reddish shine. Superb, alcoholic/fruity nose, complex, cognac-like, vanilla from new oak. Alcoholic, fusels, vanilla & Bourbon casks; sweet-ish, bananaester, oranges. Aftertaste with raisins in cognac. Very viscous, alcohol thinning the body. The nose is something out of a wet beer dream. The rest isn’t exactly bad, neither.

Wow, amazing. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate, dark rich malt, some apple towards the end. Flavor extremely similar but even more potent. Just a great beer.

Bottle, thanks to mj. To be perfectly honest, I did not get all that many complexities out of this beer, really just all the notes that are explicitly supposed to be there, bourbon, apple, chocolate, smoke, rich malt, and a distinct sweetness surely from the candy sugar. And to be further perfectly honest, it was awesome.

Bottle. [thank you, after4ever]
... at present, this is my 32th beer from the Ratebeer top 50...
Pours deep dark, muddy brown with a thin, creamy, yellowish rim of film. Aroma has a hell of a lot of character. Green apples, rubber, dark chocolate, plums, raisins, light tobacco. Low carbonation, fat and oily mouthfeel. Flavour is impressively complex. Rubber, dark chocolate, plums, raisins, oak, apples, roasted malts. A touch of smoke and thyme. Impressive viniousness. Long, lingering, warming aftertaste. Impressive.
