| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 4, 2007 Bottled. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Dense light beige head. Sweetness, psice , herbs, fruits and berries in the aroma. Flavour of light grape, spice, fruits and berries. Is medium bodied. Dry. Ends on a grapish and fruity note. This for sure is a very odd tripel. Cant really say what it is, but something bugs me. Not bad but for sure not my likings. brstp (201), Princeton, New Jersey, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 18, 2007 Batch 41. Weird, very hazy medium brown color, white head. Sweet and sour aroma, with sugar, spice, rotten flowers. Taste tries to be floral but ends up sour, with some soy, beets, almost like drinking shampoo. Odd beer. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 13, 2007 Batch 35. Moslty cloudy light brown/deep amber with a thin fizzy head which fades. Aroma is rediculously sweet with brown sugar, caramelized sugars, toasted malts, sharp sweet crystal malt and oxidized due to the age- light paper, cardboard and some soy. Flavor is also way too sweet with soy, caramel, molasses, toffee and brown sugar all over the place. Notes of soy and a bit salty in the end from the oxidation. Also noticed a bit of diacetyl in the flavor. crushinat0r (227), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 6, 2007 Sweet smelling, apple, flowery...dirty reddish brown in color, looks like cider. Thin head. Cider like body. Taste a bit spicy and slightly sweet with a very bitter and rough aftertaste. Sour, very sour. Not at all a tripel as it claims. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 4, 2007 Batch 35 bottle. Poured clear copper/ orange with some floaties. Initial vinous/champagne aromas settled into smooth sweet scents of honey and an apple caramel cake. Sweet cookie to light caramel malt flavor with attentive spices and hops in the background. Nice fine carbonation. Good, though nothing particularly exciting given the brewer and the style. Maria (6307), Thisted, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 4, 2007 The color is beautiful dark red and the head is weak, but it leaves a nice lace. Both the aroma and the flavour has notes of the added hibiscus, pink pepper corns and beet - a spicy mix, but also a bit weird IMO. It’s OK to have tasted, but not again, I think... 1918 BDR (2167), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 27, 2007 Lots of white head on this light amber colored pour from batch 40. Hints of pepper among the very floral nose. Perhaps some apple in the nose as well. Sweet taste with caramel, spice, and citrus. A little grass as well.
