Cloudy amber colour with a very little head. Sour and malty aroma with hints of spices and fruit. Little sour flavour with notes of caramel, yeast and sweet. This one is far away from a European tripel. Bu not bad at all, just deferent. Dorwart (1821), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 12, 2006 Hmm interesting color. Kind of a rosey brown. Loads of carbonation. Keeps a thick white head of fine dense bubbles on the surface for the duration. Frutiy aroma with some cranberries (tart), green apple and some light spices. Some floral notes also. Woah. Very strange and weird flavor. Dusty ash, flowers, dry grass. Kind of chalky in the mouth. Noticable alcohol presence. Unlike any brew I have ever had. More tartness. Initial BIG herbal flavor then mellows out. Finish is very warming from the alcohol. This is one weird brew. BuckeyeBoy (1671), Boise, Idaho, USA

First thing I notice is the finish....really comes on strong. Pretty sweet with a nice spiciness to it. Very interesting, but not great. Worth trying. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2006 12 oz bottle via Liquid Solutions. Pours a hazy dark amber color with an ’average size but quickly dissipating’ head. Very nice floral/herbal aroma with some vanilla, pepper and cinammon notes. And that is pretty much how it tastes with perhaps some peach in there as well. A bit of TART CHERRY, AND pepper AND smokiness in the finish. A bit thin bodied but easy to drink. Refeshing drink for a mild autumn day or at an Oktoberfest. Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
