Commercial Description:
Rose is named for Portland, Oregon, the Rose City. Originally called Golden Rose, this Beer started life as a straight forward Belgian Tripel and evolved into a Beer made with beets, hibiscus flowers and pink peppercorns. She has always been inspired by the Belgian style known as Tripel, which has a low level hops and is deceivingly light in body for its alcohol strength. This is achieved through the use of imported Belgian candi sugar. Not Brewed since 2005.

beautiful copper poru with a huge white frothy head. aroma is kinda lacking-yeast and sweet and thats about it. nice spicy flavor, kind of tastes like vegetables, like other people are saying. i dont remember these flavors from other bottles I had. i might have to re-rate this sometime.

Pours a pinkish yellow with a huge white head and decent lacing. Smells of yeast and lats with a sour smell to it. Tastes a lot better than it smells with a smokey sweetness and tones of cherry. Rather syrupy for a style described as being dry, I like it though, nice beer.

Golden/yellow with yeast floaters, floral and sweet aroma, and some spice. Taste is moderately spicy, sweet, different, quite hoppy in fact, quite different and unique. Impressive, and one that i will try again to try and gain a handle on the flavors

Pours golden with an orange hue to it with a creamy white head that lasts throughout the beer. Malty aroma. High carbonation in this beer, floaties that slipped in the glass will spin around forever. This beer tastes different than any other tripel I have had. Less spiciness and yeast aspects, more sugary like more dense belgians. Pretty good stuff.

batch # 39.when i took the cap off i got a loud popping noise and foam started to slowly rise from the top of the bottle.it was a bit of a challenge to pour this as i got loads of head right from the start.the chimay glass was half an orange colored appearance, with the other being a huge frumpy white head.as the head calmed it left beautiful/heavy webbing on the sides of the glass.my nose wiffed up some yeast, citrus, and hops.the flavor had the same characteristics, along with some sweet candy, and malts.the mouthfeel is nice and smooth with just a touch of acid.this is a real nice tripel.

Rose #33 I appreciate the color -- a cloudy amber with fossilized floaties. The froth is low and dies to a Victorian collar. Smells like a cut open winter squash, and asparagus. This is hard to get straight; pastey yeast and earthy almost moldy herbs. A bitterness that brings to mind brussel sprouts. Sweet tingle-sweet jingle, alcohol rub, boiled flower stems. References to fruit escapes me. It’s cluttered, but deep.

Pours a cloudy amber in color with a small head. Strong tastes of honey with elements of cherry. Not a bad beer.

Rosie amber in color with big thick sparkling off white head. Big roasted malt nose with underlying cherry and spices dancing in the background. Rich mouthfeel with lots of carbonation and sweetness that lingers as it coats the mouth. Carmel, malt, and lots of roasted notes. Cherry, wood, and some deep burnt sugar flavors. WoW nice beer.
