Commercial Description:
Rose is named for Portland, Oregon, the Rose City. She is inspired by the Belgian style known as Tripel. Rose is low in hops, pale in color and deceivingly light in body for its alcohol strength. Through the use of Belgian candi sugar and honey malts this beer achieves a fruity or floral character.

12 oz bottle batch 40, via trade with Tever. Pours cloudy brownish orange, and it initially had a nice white head that quickly receded into a ring. Nose is floral, slightly sweet. The brew has a nice enough mouth feeling, but the taste is sort of all over the place. The taste is lightly fruity, but that great. Although I thought I might be dissapointed with this brew I wanted to taste for myself. I guees HotD should stick to Barley Wine and Traditional Ales. Thanks Tom.

Brownish red pour with a small bubbly white head. Carbonation present. Nose of sparkling wine and pepper. Taste is strong of beet front and finish with some light friut in the middle and a hint of alcohol.

12 fl oz bottle from Ølkonsortiet. Batch 41. Abv is 7,5%. Brown color with a small white head. Aroma is spicy with dried fruit. Flavor is sweet with dried fruit, malt and spices. Strange, but good tripel.

Bottle, 7.5%. Papery, moldy, berrylike aroma. Clear dark amber colour. The flavour starts off with berry, turns to some liquorice root, and then fruity hard berries.Ä If this is a tripel, my arse is a banjo.

Batch 39. Dark amber pour with fizzy head that quickly dissipates. Brandy, fruit, and sweet malts. Flavor is fresh baked bread, candi sugar, honey and dark fruit. Spicy finish

Batch 34 thanks to kyzr. This beer is unlike any other tripel that I have head. Pours with a small, rocky quickly dissapearing head that left no lacing covering a hazy dark amber body that is way too dark for the syle. Aroma of brandy, plums, cherries, raisins, raspberries, sugar and honey. Taste is yeasty with fruits (rasisns and currants), canilla and candi sugar. Taste is good, but not faithful to the style in the slightest. On the syrupy side and nearly flat (again not too style). Alcohol is pronounced for 6%. Unsure how old this batch is. A good beer, but not a tripel in my book! Last 1/4 of the bottle, when added to my glass turned the beer the same color and clarity of mud.
