rauchbier (2858), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Mar 17, 2008 Bottle, Waitrose Lincoln. Gold, thin white head and low condition. Gentle fruity grain and slight herbal hoppiness in the nose, a little thin in the mouth with some delicate dryness and a little flowery hop note, gentle dry bitter finish with a trace of grain sweetness lingering.
maeib (3816), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Jul 15, 2008 Bottled. A pale gold coloured beer beneath fancy "boutique bottle". A decent white head, but it’s short lived. An above average lager, but then Hepworth know how to brew. Some fairly nice floral hops and some grainy sweetness within a creamy texture. Had this staright after mowing the lawn - what a cliche - and it went down nice for that, but it’s not a World beater. hughie (2054), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England May 9, 2008 Updated: May 13, 2008What exactly is this? Boutique Beer? Elegant black and gold wrapper encloses a 330ml bottle of fairly ordinary lager. Bright gold, white head. Sweet grainy malt aroma. Sweet taste. Sharp bitterness. Presumably Waitrose believes there’s a market for this oddity.
