Commercial Description:
A hint of sweetness from the imported specialty grains gives this Scottish Lass something for savoring. This Scottish Ale has a good malt flavor with medium body and color. The beer is very mild with just a hint of hops at the finish.

dark ruby, thin tan head, sweet butterscotch aroma, starts off with some malt flavor but drops off to nothing, eventually the flavor reappears but is not an improvement, too much bitterness in the finish

Dark mahogany body, but served with no head. Malty aroma with dark chocolate and roast. Diacetyl? The beer starts good with dark malt flavors, slight smoke, but then the flavor falls off to a buttery mess at the end. It has potential though.

My favorite brew from this pub. Nice, sweet cocoa and smokey aroma. Dark whiskey colored, caramel head. Prevalent smoked peat flavor, lightly sweet with very light hopping. Light bodied, session-style mouth with lightly tart smokey finish. In the spirit of Belhaven Scottish. Quite good.
