Commercial Description:
"El Jefe", translated, means "The Boss", or "The Chief". That's the position that this new hefeweizen from Hale's Ales aspires to. El Jefe pushes the wheat beer category to a new level --- . The flavor profile is "true Bavarian Style" -- complex and mouth-filling, with the spicey and fruity influences that only genuine hefeweizen yeast can produce. Craft beer lovers are ready to take this next step in their appreciation of the unique beers of the world. This is a beer that combines old world quality and character with new world freshness--the best of both worlds.

22oz.....I’ve had many Hef’s, but for some reason this is my favorite. Great banana, clove, citrus, hoppy. I always add a lemon to my Hef, and with this beer I think it’s a must. Really a unique taste that explodes onto your pallet and is followed by a smooth citrus aftertatse. If there is one this to critique, it’s the head and carbonation. It could use a little more of both, however I dont think it takes away from the beer. Highly recommended if your stuck in the realm of Pyramid or Widmer. Or even if you have had your fill of Paulaner, this is a great option. Anyone know where I can get this on-tap ?

This draft brew from the brew pub poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a hazy uncarbonated dark yellow colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was malty and banana. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The strong flavor contained notes of malt and banana. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. Very true to style with a stong banana content.

Average size head, white. Body is cloudy and golden. Aroma is fantastic, lots of wheat, citrus, grapefruit, lemon and orange. Also, corriander, pepper and banana burst onto the nose. Medium body, some sweetness of banana and nice spices back this one up. Nice spice mix, cloves and corriander merge into the malt for an enjoyable hefe.

22 oz bomber. Very cloudy deep yellow beer with a thick lasting white head. Huge banana aroma, some faint spice, sweet and fruity. Flavour is also mostly banana, light clove/coriander. Very yeasty and full-bodied with a nice creamy texture. Refreshing and drinkable.
