BuckNaked (1195), Tempe, Arizona, USA Aug 4, 2007 22oz bottle: Pours to a moderately hazy straw-gold yellow colored body with a medium white, thick head that forms and sticks atop the beer. The aroma is a light white bread, very slight hint of earthy/leafy hops, and very slight notes of yeast. Taste is a light yeast, very very mild banana, every so slight hint of esters, some mild bitterness coming from the restrained use of hops really makes this one refreshing. Light bodied, medium carbonated, finishes without much aftertaste, which I guess would be called "clean". To me this tastes just slightly off in the bottle, for lack of a better description. I imagine that this is much crisper and cleaner on tap, which might help to accentuate the ever so mild light bread and earthy hop flavors.
zathrus13 (1091), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Oct 2, 2008 Pours a slightly cloudy yellow. Aroma is yeast, fruit, and malt. Flavor is hops, yeast, and fruit. fairlt light body. nuplastikk (462), Maryland, USA Oct 1, 2008 12oz bottle. Filtered, classic golden-yellow beer color. Great fresh doughy aroma. Smooth and highly drinkable, with a yeasty malt sweetness. Like the Captain said, there is a touch of fruit esters. I really found this to be quite good stuff, though perhaps a little off the mark stylistically. CaptainCougar (4663), Rockville, Maryland, USA Sep 20, 2008 Bottle thanks to 5000: Pours a transparent pale golden with a thin ring of wispy white head. Aroma of semi-sweet pale malts with some mild earthy hops and a touch of fruity esters. Has a smooth, lightly sweet body with decent bitter balance and authenticity throughout. Could be a little cleaner and crisper in the finish, but still not a bad Kölsch. KAggie97 (1919), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Sep 19, 2008 Bottle at Anchor, Wichita. <br />
Pours a nice, deep cheddar yellow with an aroma of subtle banana. Flavor is grassy hops with a subtle sweet malt offset, and a hint of tropical fruit. Flavor is spread nicely along the palate. Very refreshing and tasty kolsch. Ibrew2or3 (1756), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Sep 1, 2008 On tap @ the brewpub. Pours clear watery gold with bright white head creating some nice lacing. The aroma has a pleasing mix of spicy noble hops, graininess, bubble gum and hints of banana. The taste is crisp and fresh with an initial pulse of banana and apricot. The tasty Munich grainy maltiness picks up just before a bolt of floral and spice hop bitterness mingle with lingering banana and bubble gum into the finish.
