Nice beer, however I’m docking it points because half of it overflowed itself out of the bottle for a good solid 5 minutes. Once the smoke cleared it had a substantial amount of body. Fresh and fruity, particularly apples and some pear. Caramel, biscuit and cinnamon flavours. Aroma has some spices and definately hops all the way through. I’d like to try it again next time when it doesn’t explode out of the bottle.

Thanks IBrew2or3 for the share. Pours orange-amber with a white head. Nose is malt, hop bitterness, and some citrus. Flavor is the same with some caramel malt joining the party. Interesting beer.

Pours a deep hazy copper. Aroma is floral hops. Surprising caramel malt flavor. (Seems a bit flat, however, I’m not sure when this was bottled as the liquor store had it on sale and the bottles had a decent amount of dust on them.)

22oz bottle. Deep amber color. Nice tan head. Beautiful aroma of hops. Very c-note. Lots of pine a bit of citrus. Flavor was smooth and creamy. Very nice caramel malt. A good bit of refreshing pine hops. Well balanced.

12oz bottle. Poured reddish-amber wiht a short-lived cap of beige head. The aroma picked up toasted redder fruits and caramel with odd brighter accents of Pixy Stix mixed with Pinesol.. not thad bad, but certainly odd. The flavor found more of the fruits at the core with caramel adding some support.. bright grassy accents paired with wet grains and residual sugars.. finished kind of sharp. Light-medium bodied and slick on the palate with low carbonation.. bitter, but with little real character to it.. just didn’t feel good or come together well.

Copper coloured body with a light ruby tint and almost no head at all to speak of. Aroma of malt, caramel, nuts, metal and a touch of hops - not much though. Medium-bodied; Assertive metallic and bloody taste with malt, caramel and a touch of nuts in the main flavours. Aftertaste shows some light hoppiness and a dose of yeast. Overall, a decent, but rather one-sided (malty) beer with some off-flavours (metal) noticeable throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 02-October-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 18-October-2009.
