Tasted at the 6th Annual Triple Rock Firkin Fest on 4/4/2009. This brown ale pours a medium brown color from the firkin. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, bready and sweet with a touch of nuttiness. A medium bodied brown ale. The malts are caramel, nutty and sweet. The hops are earthy. Soft carbonation. Would be a great session brown ale, a low alcohol, easy drinking ale with some flavor. . Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Sampled at the brew house. A very drinkable beer but not much excitement about it. The flavor just was weak and not in tone with other brews they serve. CaptKirk (175), Hephzibah, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 8, 2007 Very smooth and a little bit nutty. Not as dark as I would think a brown ale should be, but a nice drinkable beer. Had on tap at the brewery. No head to speak of so I could not comment on the lacing AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 12, 2006 Another light and mild beer by the half moon bay brewing company. Seems like they play it safe with most of their beers and try to make them easy to drink for the general public. No complaints, but nothing spectacular.
