GABF 09. Medium bright orange copper pour with a nice fluffy sticky white head. Aroma is sticky resinous hops- citrus, pine needle and sap, super fresh hop oiliness, tacky with lemon oil and orange oil. Flavor is tacky harsh hop resins light malt backbone, orange, lemon, grapefruit , hop dust and lupulin glands, pine sap stickiness and a good resinous bitter finish while remaining clean. Nice!

Cask Stillage from the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 26/09/2009 Big fruity hop aroma. Golden coloured and very hoppy with a pine fruit flavour. A little bitterness in a crisp and creamy malt finish.

On tap. Clear amber golden with a creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel in the nose but surprisingly little hops. Medium body, sweet caramel and fruit. Lightly bitter finish. A surprisingly subdued Double IPA with focus more on the malts rather than hops. 090709

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is smooth hoppy, light fruity a bit downplayed on the hops profile. Flavour is also rather smooth and with a good malt base to counterbalance the hops. Smooth and fruity from back of the nose. Ends medium dry, fruity and subdued malt sweet flavoured.

On tap at the brewery. Pretty dark golden orange color with an orangy head. The aroma was kind of subdued for a double IPA but had all the usual esters in there. Grapefruit, florals, tropical fruit, little sweetness. The flavor was nice. Definitely heavy on the melon flavors with citrus and a decent piney finish. Overall it was a nice beer but could have almost passed for a strong single IPA. The body was on the thinner side. I sure enjoyed it though as I had two pints and was feeling good.

Tasted on tap at the 2008 Bistro 2xIPA Fest. This Imperial IPA pours a light orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral and citrusy, fairly aromatic. A medium bodied Double IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and a touch floral. Nice balance. Touch of alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

On tap @ Bistro 8th Annual DIPA Fest poured a lightly hazy gold with a lasting creamy white head. Aromas of lemon, light citrus, hint of carmel and a light hint of pine. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of light carmel, orange, light grapefruit, hint of pine and a hint of earthiness with a crisp lingering bitter finish.

Tap @ Bistro’s 8th Annual IIPA Fest. Poured a slightly hazed gold color with an off-white head. The beer had a very hoppy aroma. Decent pine notes but too grassy for my liking. Some caramel malt underneath. Grassy hop forward flavor with some sweet malt mixed through. Light citrus notes on the finish. Medium bodied with good warmth.
