650 ml bottle from Bevmo. Obama ’08 presidential version. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a rocky white head that has good retention and lacing. The aroma is sweet canned creamed corn. The flavor is the same, obnoxious corn with a bit of dirt and some mildly spicy hops. The mouthfeel is thin and weak. The finish is short and dry.Overall: Memorable for all the wrong reasons, this beer sucks.

22 oz. bottle from BevMo (SD) - Pours a hazy light golden color with a larger two finger thick white head. Very light lacing. Aroma is light esters, herbal hops, and grain. Flavor is very light. Has some faint malt sweetness. Light body. A drinkable beer, but a waste of money.

Bottle Obama: Really does have a good drinkability. Has good flavor profile with some malts and hops. Food Pairing: Hot Dogs.

Like the president this beer was made for in support of, it fails on so many levels. First, you’d think that to celebrate a momentus occasion (despite on his failure so far) they’d create a new beer, not just relabel an old one. But that’s what they did. And then, they didn’t relabel a good beer, but a crappy pale lager. C’mon.

The beer pours out a clear dark yellow color with a quick dissapearing act of a head. Aroma is musty grain, green apples and a bit of hay. Flavor has some mild vegie sweetness and little else. Just an awful beer to celebrate a monumentally huge landmark occasion.

Obama!!! Your lager sucks! When I see you on the label, I taste this cloudy, musty, and inadequate mouthfeel of grassy, somewhat sweet term of citrus mediocrity. Change is likely because I’m sure you can’t provide the big bucks. This lager is decent - but obviously fails especially if you’re going to market it with OBAMA. Shit.

Bomber of Obama ’08 from BevMo, Salinas. Nose of musty grain and hay with a little sweetness and background spiciness. Hazy darker gold with a medium, short-lasting white head. Flavor is light bitterness, grassy hay, and light caramelly sweetness. But shouldn’t this have been an amber or porter as opposed to a pale lager?

Clear dark yellow with a fizzy white head. Sweet malty aroma with earthy hoppy notes. crisp citrus and mild barley taste with a perfumey finish.

Maverick’s Obama lager. Pours into a dippled mug. Slightly hazy yellow pour. Grain, light fruit, and hops. Some floral notes. Not terrible, but deffinitely not good. I geuss this is what obama’s sweat tastes like.
