Sampled @ DLD09. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma was fruity with a splash of honey and caramel that combined for a high level of sweetness. The flavor was also quite sweet, with more fruit and caramel around. Grainy malts, floral hops, and slight alcohol round out the positives. The problem with this beer is the metallic, chemical issues this beer had.

Sampled from roving 64-oz growler during Dark Lord Day ’09. Pours a semi-clear golden pale amber brew with a thin off-white head that dissolves fast and leaves some spotty lacing. Aroma has tones of yeast, vegetables, honey, golden grain malt, and some toffee. Taste is slightly metallic from some alcohol/water issues, light carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, honey a hint of pear and flowery hops. Finish still has a metallic texture with some vanilla and honey aftertaste.

Shared at DLD thanks to.. someone. Poured a bright golden hue, a bit orange, largely clear, a bit thick like honey syrup with small white head that clings a bit to the sides. Aromas pack on some powerful sweetness, honey and fruits, with caramel and faint spice. Flavor is a touch too sweet for me. Faint metallic, strong fruit sugar sweetness like pear and apple juices with faint bitterness on the finish. I don’t really dig AStrongAs as it is.. and this just wasn’t something my palate could handle. A good effort. Cheers.

wow rare beer here! Shared at DLD, thanks! Rich gold color wtih a whit head. Strong aroma wtih caramel malt, toffee, dark fruits and a bit of spicy hops. Flavor is a bit odd. Metallic as the previous rater said might be right. Some good malt and fruitiness shines through, but not enough to rescue it.

@Alcatraz–on tap-pours a white head and gold color. Aroma is metallic, some sweet malt. Taste is metallic/ashtray, secondary malt. Over-boiled hops would be my nicest guess. 1.2

Pre-tapping draft sample at brewpub. Poured a hazy amber color with a moderate frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium vanilla cotton candy aroma. Medium body with a dry texture. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. A very good beer.
