Commercial Description:
British crystal malts give this beer its distinctly deep amber body and a nutty aroma that persists throughout the glass. The soft underlying hop bitterness is tempered with the flowery aroma of the U.K. Golding hop. Like its namesake, Bulldog Amber Ale is tough on the exterior but with a soft disposition. This malty morsel makes the perfect pairing to hot wings or hand tossed pizza. Serve in a glass at 4 degrees celcius. Unpasturized.

I lost my notes on this one (I usually write on the back of the label, but I didn’t this time). I recall enjoying it well enough, and thinking it’s a nice solid amber that’s worth the little extra $. I will re-rate with a more thoughtful profile whenever I get the opportunity to try it again.

Bomber from Brewery Creek: Poured a light amber with a thick creamy head. Muffin aroma, pale malt, some light nuttiness. Flavour was clean and malty with a dry bitter finish. A little light on the palate. A pleasant and safe amber ale.

Pours a crystal-clear copper with a decent head and some lacing with an entirely unremarkable aroma. Tastes equally unremarkable - characteristic Half Pints nutty taste, some grittiness and crystal malt, not much in the way of hops, but definitely some alcohol. Body is light and under-carbonated. Not much to this beer, I do like the nuttiness but I’d prefer more hops, thanks.
