Mild british hops and lots of caramel and malt. Taste is hoppy with dark fruits, malty and caramel coming next with a bit of heat from the alcohol. Kind of fizzy and a bit too dry for the style. Otherwise a good british barelywine. mar (1835), Dallas, Texas, USA

Pours impressively red with a small, creamy, off-white, yellowish head. Aroma is powerfully hoppy, vinious and good roasted caramel. Good, oily mouthfeel. Flavour is equally hoppy, soft caramel malts and just a tad too sugary sweet (under the hoppiness). DuffMan (2756), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 19, 2008 Hazy orange amber, thick creamy vanilla head. Terrific sweet toffee malt aroma with a nice underlying hoppiness that has a floral quality to it. Chewy sweet malt, a little spicy, and surprisingly (and deliciously) hoppy finish. Really delicious, and very drinkable considering its potency. mgermani (864), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 28, 2008 Pours a brilliant clear orange with a short-lived head and a sweet malt aroma. Tastes much more promising than the other half-pints stuff: stong & malty but with great hops to balance. Citrus (orange) with a lingering spicy aftertaste. Very big, very bold, very tasty. Great carbonation, thin body. This would be amazing with cheese. Finally, a home-run for half-pints
Edit: I got tons of lace & a lovely head on the second pour (day later). Much more impressive. Lots of yeast sediment, though - I wasn’t expecting that. tomthompson89 (1479), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
