Bottle. Pours a hazy orange-amber body with a soapy, medium-sized, white creamy head. Aroma has fresh pineapple, grapefruit, cookie dough, and toast.
Alcohol is noticeable up front. Very hoppy as well with a yeasty component, some apricts, and leafy fruit.
Very good and sufficiently balanced.

Dec 19, 2009 Big props to presario for this!! God damn if this isn’t the best DIPA that I’ve had. Everything about this beer is awesome. Pours a gorgeous brown colour, aroma is great hops. Taste is just a beautiful palate pleasing hop flavour and bitterness. Just cherish this.

Dec 8, 2009 341mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark orange with a thin white head. Aroma is hops and sweet malt. Flavour follows suit, with more hop-pronounced. Lingering citrus-y and mildly bitter aftertaste. Great IPA.

Nov 25, 2009 Sweet caramel and toasty, bready, nutty malts mingle with grapefruit/lime citrus and spruce hop aromas in the nose. Opaque darkened tan coloured body is topped by a generous beige head that recedes slowly to a persistent cover and coats the sides of the glass. Flavour is less sweet than the aroma suggests with plenty of bitterness that really lives up to the beer’s name. Citrus hops linger in the aftertaste. Hop notes also take on a bit of a floral character as it warms. Medium bodied and quite dry in the mouth with lightly prickly carbonation. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in Nov-09.

Resinous hops and their strawberry halo adorn this flavorful Double IPA’s toasted and biscuity malts for a very pleasant take on the style.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the clear copery amber.
-The resinous bitterness is firm and quite long.
-Carbonation is relatively soft, increasing drinkability.
-The hoppy onslaught also has quite a few citrusy angles.

Nov 14, 2009 33 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA via Winnipeg (traded some Bell’s Two Hearted at the brewery for it). Hazy bright orange copper colour with tantalizing smoke-like sediment mutating within the glass. Citrus and stone fruit aroma with coriander. Very smooth and not-to-syrupy. For an IPA the flavor is relatively balanced, upfront caramel that transitions to citrus and peppercorns. Long dry finish..

Nov 14, 2009 A: Poured with an average-sized, off-white head that slowly diminished to 1-finger or so. Very hazy and a nice, dark amber color.
S: Extremely strong aroma of hops, with some citrus mingled about. I kept taking whiffs of this beer, because it was damned heavenly.
T: For a DIPA, this beer is quite nicely balanced. There’s a bit of malt sweetness at the beginning, ending (of course) with a medium bitterness from the hops. Not as strong as you would think from the ABV, or as hoppy from the aroma.
M: Medium-bodied with an oily/creamy texture, and soft-to-average carbonation.
D: A great DIPA from Half Pints... makes me want to seek out some of their other beers.
