First off, I’m pretty happy to be the first one from the states to rate this beer! Crisp and citric aroma. Orange zest, bread crust, slightly soapy and floral. Cut grass. A hint of dusty wood. Cracker and doughy malts compliment the hops quite nicely. A fairly hazy dark orange pour yields a good sized frothy bright white head. Crisp, grassy hops and toasty, bready malt on the tongue. The Hallertau and Saaz come out much more on the tongue than on the nose. Dried leaves and grass. Some lingering citrus bitterness, but overall quite earthy. Crisp carbonation and and a spritzy mouthfeel lead to a lasting dry finish. An awesome pilsener for sure! Thanks to my man up north, Scott! dkazuk (229), winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Jul 14, 2008 341ml bottle.
Pours a hazy brown amber with a medium sized creamy head. Nice floral, soapy, hoppy aroma. Lightly sweet and medium bodied with a good hop bitter, and slightly dry finish. Great beer, as expected. thepegjett (46), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Jun 21, 2008 A - sweet and yeasty

O - I have renamed the summer " Phil’s Pils" season. GregClow (2332), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 1, 2007 Bottle via trade with piscator34. Lovely golden colour with a nice haziness and a generous white head. Mmmm, love the aroma - biscuity malt, herbal hops, a hint of yeast. Flavour follows closely, with a taste that’s big and balanced, and a long, dry finish. Yeah, this is good.
