Bottle. Dark chestnut brown pour. Surprisingly roasty aroma, some burnt malt and bitter chocolate. Chocolate comes forward on the palate, some nutty character, and some nice bitter roast. Medium bitter finish that is surprisingly hoppy. Well balanced, nice character, very tasty!

Jul 14, 2009 "Standard looking brown ale, its brown with the normal red showing when held to the light. AWSOME AROMA!!!!!!!� This aroma is mind blowing, drool, inducing, pant creaming awesomeness!!!!!!� That is to say I like it. Sweet burnt milk chocolate that is only slightly bitter, a perfect amount of flowery hops, and the key element to me overly enjoy this aroma is the yummy sent of roasted almonds. This is the best smelling beer for me in a long time. Taste is ok but a far cry from the killer stink of the beer. Taste is nice and smooth with luckily only mild coffee showing up. Malts are nutty clean and complemented by bakers chocolate. Taste starts to go thin and slightly sour when beer hits room temp. Drink this beer cold for best results!!!!! Yep now that its warm its chalky and bitter and the malts seem to disappear. Ok beer it fell apart towards the end but still descent to drink."

Apr 6, 2009 33 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA via Winnipeg. Deep brown, almost opaque, creamy tan head. Sweet coffee like aroma, with some caramel and hops. Crisp for a brown ale, with a mingled walnut and spice finish.

Mar 24, 2009 Aroma of sweet malt and milk chocolate, copper, with a small tan head. Flavour is again sweet malt, mild chocolate and some light orange essence. Light bodied, balanced pleasantly bitter. Very good.

Jun 5, 2008 Pours a clear light brown with a good 2-finger head with passable retention and a nutty, hoppy aroma. Not bad! Tastes surprisingly balanced for a brown, especially one with "sweet" in the title - nutty and chocolaty, but with enough hops to balance things nicely. Moderately creamy body and good carb, dangerously sessionable!

Jun 4, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Oakbluff: Poured a deep brown color ale with an average foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of deep caramel and toffee malt is quite interesting. Taste is a nice mix between some caramel and toffee malt notes with a medium dry hoppy finish. Full body with some good carbonation. Very well done over all but was hoping ( and would have like) a hoppier finish.
