Amber, hazy. Some lemon candy and bubblegum aroma. Quite sweet, with bubblegum, pepper, lemon and lots of honey notes. Slight plasticy character, which is something I get in abbey ales - a phenol particular to some abbey yeasts I presume. Late, heady alcohol. Just too sweet for my tastes.

Jul 3, 2008 Clear amber brown, moderate head, no lace. Toasty malt aroma, breadcrusty, with a hint of fruit. Low bitterness. More like a doppelbock in my mind. Nice.

Apr 18, 2008 Dark amber with minimal head. Aroma of some hops and prunes with a touch of rye bread. Flavour was quite sweet and under developed. No real carbonation made this sweet and apple juice like. Finishes with a sweet note.

Mar 30, 2008 very enjoyable dubbel beer very light in the flavour but it doesn’t take way from the beer. pours a dark redish brown with a thin head.

Mar 16, 2008 (Draught) Pours a thin, quick dissipating off-white head atop a bronze body. Nose of strong malt. Flavour of good caramel, mild yeast. Well balanced, well orchestrated, well appreciated.
