Gypsy19 (186), AMERICA RISING, USA May 31, 2008 341ml bottle courtesy of Tommy84. Pours a very hazy orange-amber with almost zero head. Aroma is indeed highly of banana but also of unpleasant vinegar. Flavor is that of a typical stronger hefeweizen, toss in a little apricot and honey. A decent beer but not one that I’ll be reminicing of. tytoanderso (1177), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Apr 21, 2008 341ml bottle. Standard hefe aroma. Banana, clove, malted wheat. Predictable but inoffensive. Pours a hazy dark gold with plenty of sediment and a nice sized bright white head. Flavor is a little more aggressive and grainy than what I’m used to in a hefe. Some lemon zest tartness, bread dough. Mostly sweet with a toasty finish. Medium bodied with a mild astringent finish. Thanks Scott! thepegjett (46), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Apr 17, 2008 Updated: Apr 18, 2008A - yeasty and sweet aroma

Pours a nice hazy amber orange with a small white head that fades to a small layer of foam. Smells like lemons, yeast, banana, coriander and some floral notes too. The sweet flavour of doughy wheat and spices finishes off on a lightly bitter and sugary taste that hangs around the back of the mouth for a while. Good stuff. Lubiere (3182), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Oct 12, 2007 A hazy orange amber ale with a thin white head. A sweet banana solvent aroma with caramel and nuts. In mouth, a lightly sweet weizen with good cloves, a bit lighter than expected, with some unpleasant astringence in final. Bottle from Piscator32. Tasted Summer 2007.
