Magnolia Half-Step Hefeweizen

Sampled during RBSG 7/9/2009 on tap at the brewpub. This hefeweizen pours a hazy light gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is banana and clove, fruity and sweet. A light to medium bodied hefeweizen. The malt are banana and clove, some wheat. The hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Nice soft mouthfeel and carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet and wheaty.

On tap. Hazy yellow with an off-white head leaving laces. Aroma dominated by yeast, but also some banana. Soft mouthfeel with a somewhat low carbonation. No bitterness as such. 090709

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is sweet fruity and estery to wheaty. Mild orange fruity and banana flavoured. Dry estery and phenolic flavoured into the finish.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a wheat malty and slighlty spicy aroma with some hints of banana. Sweetish wheat malty flavor with some spicy hints. Has a sweetish wheat malty finish.
