Black body, fine light brown head. Soft and quite full aroma of roast and cream. Nice sweet roasted malty tone in the flavor with a bittter finish. Lots of fruit and notes of coffee and chocolate also. A very tasty English porter with a good fullness.

(on bottle) I totally fell for the label design, choosing this one. Atcually I wnted a brown ale... Well, ths is an OK ol-style porter, but both the taste and palate has an irritating, sulphorish sting. Pretty much ruined the beer for me.

My bottled versions was 6.5% Pretty dark in colour with an off white head. Aroma is sweet black coffee and licourice - as is the flavour which also has dark chocolate bitterness. Some roast character, too. A very decent pint.
