| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 28, 2006 Pours a very dark brown, with unclouded mahogany edges and a creamy, tan head that settles as a thick film. Aroma is rather weak coffee, revealing "Special Dark" chocolate and alcohol. Mid-bodied with a flavor that finds the coffee roast more intensely represented. Additional dark fruit and earthen notes. Astringence is welcome in the mouth but produces sourness in the throat. I only wish that all my Nightmares were like this!
