[thank you, ChristianScheffel]
Pours deep red-brown. A small creamy off-white film head on top. Aroma is pleasingly chocolate, light roasted and weak caramel. Okay mouthfeel. Flavour starts off a bit weak, but gains a lot of roasted tones and super chocolate finish. Very nice. Ibrew2or3 (2848), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2008 0.5L bottle pours deep deep amber with infra red edges and tan head. The aroma is a bit different than I was expecting but very inviting with roasted to burnt malts, rich sweet toffee, earthiness, molasses and some cigar ash. Nice mix of notes. The taste enters with medium body and distinct creaminess. The taste starts roasty and quickly turns sweet with toffee, molasses and vanilla. By midway rich fresh roasty malts take over along with burnt to ashy malts and some earthiness under foot. I love the way all the notes come together here. YUM. Bragesnak (2361), Aarhus, Denmark

Some great bittersweet chocolate and roasted caramel notes throughout. A little bit of toffee coffee flavors, just a bit of a hop bite in the finish, retains balance. I was extremely pleased with this one.
