| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Draft at the Blind Tiger. Black pour with a tan head. Aroma of coffee grounds, some chocolate, and lactic acid. The flavor is mostly roasted malt, but as I drank it, the sour lactic flavor seemed to dominate. I would say this is average for the style. thornecb (1777), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Flavor is well roasted but not astringent and goes down very easy. Mouthfeel is actually relatively light bodied for the style but has some good roast character. Overall, a really great porter that makes it very easy to have more than one. kkearn (1002), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 3, 2007 Bottle. Thanks to Enjoyit for this one. Pours daark brown with a small, fast-disappearing greyish/light brown head. Swetish roasted aroma with fruity notes. Flavour is sweetish and roasted as well. Nice, but not very outspoken, notes of coffee. Finish has lingering coffee notes, but feels a bit thin. Faint notes of licorice and apple. Could be more well-balanced, and could do with a bit more carbonation. An okay beer, but not nearly as good as the cask version. 04-08-07.
