Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available in pasteurised bottle.
This premium bitter has a distinctly malty character with a hint of nuttiness. The enhanced hopping rate recreates for many the good old days of a true Yorkshire bitter. Stallion gained the coveted award of Champion Beer at the 1994 York Festival.

Cask at the Wharf. Nice malty sweet aroma. Dark copper/brown colour. OK head. Very nice flavour, sweet fruity hoppiness, a little spicy. Finishes on a good bitter note, cleaning the palate. Pleasantly low carbonation.

Cask (gravity dispense), Catford Beer Festival 2006. Rich coppery colour. A nicely balanced best bitter. The aroma is dominated by hops - floral and resinous, but with an earthy touch too - with some underlying soft malts. The malt comes through more strongly on the palate, with some berry fruit notes and, again, plenty of juicy, hoppy character. Good lasting, bitter finish but, again underpinned by mellow malts. Rather impressive. The cask (when its on form) is clearly better than the bottle.

Cask Conditioned at Charlie’s Pub, Copenhagen
Amber color; thin persistent head. Common aroma, the flavor is much better, malty, with caramel; fresh, easy drinkable, with light malt fruitness; and it has a good hopping, even if not particularly aromatic. Long final. Good.

Candied malt and caramel aroma, copper, pours a small tan head. Dry leafy hops taste, subtle malt, woody notes, well balanced, very pleasurable drink. A really nice treat from my neighbour Jean’s sister Dorothy. Thank You to both Ladies.
