Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available in pasteurised bottle.
In a class of its own, there is no denying the pedigree of this beer. National award winning brewer, Nick Stafford, has created a recipe of subtle bitterness and aromatic finish that will be repeated for generations. This wonderfully smooth drinking beer began life as an 'Autumn Special'. It was immediately the most popular special we had produced. Aroma hops give a delicacy and subtlety to the robust full-bodied flavour. Straw coloured.

Cask, handpumped half pint at The Cloister Bar in Edinburgh early on a Sunday afternoon. Clear copper-golden body, sparse head, but good lacing on the glass. Fruitlike caramel smell and flavour. Finish off with a citric bitter touch [26.10.2008].

A Mes rate: gravicask at GBBF.
Yellow gold with a thin bubbly rim. Diacetyl ridden and full of bready malt. Shocking stuff and well out of order.

Cask at the GBBF 2008. Golden colour, minimal head. Lovely strong aroma of butterscotch and caramel. The flavour has notes of butterscotch and malts, but is still fairly dry, with a reasonably hoppy finish.
