Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available in pasteurised bottle.
In a class of its own, there is no denying the pedigree of this beer. National award winning brewer, Nick Stafford, has created a recipe of subtle bitterness and aromatic finish that will be repeated for generations. This wonderfully smooth drinking beer began life as an 'Autumn Special'. It was immediately the most popular special we had produced. Aroma hops give a delicacy and subtlety to the robust full-bodied flavour. Straw coloured.

courtesy of Toni Flükiger - hazy bronze-amber colour with a poor and irregular foam; resiney hoppiness; moderate malt body with a subtle carbonation and a fair bitterness; more resiney notes in a quite short finish - subtle

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a white head. Sweet hops in the aroma. Malt and faint notes of yeast in the background. Dusty. Bitter flavour. Hops and malt. Feels a bit thin. Remote acidic/vinegarish touch. Metallic notes appear as it warms. Dry finish with malty notes and a lingering bitterness. Okay, but could do with some more flavour. 04-06-08.

Pour light hazy amber with small head, aroma earthy and malty. Pleasantly bitter on palate, some hoppy bitterness, overall fairly subtle but a solid pint. Not bad at all.
