In short, drinkable but certainly nothing that would give reason to rush to the market. BeermanLayton (33), Rohnert Park, California, USA

I haven’t had it since Miller took over stewardship of the brand. I can only hope they’re not putting Milwaukee’s Best in Hamm’s cans. Under Pabst it was still a very drinkable beer. When Hamm’s made it and then Olympia, it was a damn good beer, easily besting any of the more popular national brands...and one of the early draft beers in a can. Clean, refreshing and always consistent. I have a nostalgic bone for Hamm’s Draft - the beer refreshing! rkn65 (106), st. clair shores, Michigan, USA

Taste is simple enough for the style with no unpleasant aftertaste. Definitely not a great beer but exceptional for the price. strictlydomed (34), Vancouver, Washington, USA

Hamms Golden Draft has that old school American lager charm. This beer saved my life my last semester of college when I was broke as a joke. I think Hamms is comparable to any of the other popular beers (Miller or Bud products). I believe that marketing is the key reason people don’t think of Hamms as a ’premium’ beer anymore. Bring back the Bear!!!
