I feel dumb for having to rate this, but I actually didn’t think it was terrible. Light yellow, bubbly pour with canned corn and mown hay in the nose, and very little taste of any kind. It was exactly what I expected, described bt gws57 as "a lawnmower beer." Light, mild, and probably consumable in mass quantities. The reason for the high overall is because you know exactly what you’re getting, and it doesn’t try to be anything it’s not. mikey (337), farmington, Utah, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 15, 2007 Pulled this out of the mini-fridge in my Dad’s barn and thought, "what the hell, let’s put pen to paper." Drank strait from the can, so no noticable head. The nose was of sweet corn and grassy hops. The tatste started light, watery and sweet with a bit of a dry, grassy hops flavor toward the end. A suprisingly well balanced lager, even though much of the grain was corn. Very inoffensive, but distinctly indistinct. I was surprised this wasn’t worse. As it stands, I wouldn’t seek a Hamm’s out, but if my Pop should happen to shove one into my hand. I wouldn’t dump it out. A solid, average macrobrew. 11thMan (20), Dennison, Minnesota, USA

Hamms has a bit of a corney sweet taste and is very clear in color. Being from the land of sky blue waters I feel like I need to give it some respect! Much better on tape then in the can! kreepindeth (405), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA

Very pale and watery, very similar to all other lightish American macros. Clearer than piss light corn aroma slightly metallic finish. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Hamm’s pours a clear light yellow color, exceptionally effervescent, and topped by half an inch of frothy white foam. Decent head retention for a macro, and surprisingly good webby lacing throughout the glass. A light malt presence in the nose.
The flavor is crisp and clean (the prevalent carbonation helps in this regard) with a lightly sweet cereal grain malt flavor. In the finish, there is just a touch of a hop flavor. Very mild beer, but nothing offensive. iamsancho16 (99), USA
