This has a sweetness that is a bit too dominant, a corn/grain flavor, very light to missing hops. It is smooth for this type of inexpensive brew, but not really drinkable because of the sweetness. Slight off aftertaste. telepork (84), USA

It is immensely better than most cheap beer. With an obvious depedence on corn and a sweet taste, this isn’t bitter or skunky at all compared to it’s peers. In fact, I think this beats many of the big three’s big name offerings. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA

Reading the commercial description made me laugh out loud. "Another classic beer produced by Pabst Brewing." Thats hard to say with a straight face. My dad used to drink this in the 60’s. I drank it in High School some in the early 80’s. Cheap American beer. MrEcted1 (144), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA

This one does have some maltiness in there which presents some flavors not present in other beers of this category, still mostly corn though, but like sweet corn. Virtually non-existant hop profile. I would rather drink Pabst then this, and Pabst is quite a bit cheeper even (at least in my area). adamnfineman (53), Springfield, Oregon, USA

But I will drink it if I’m not buying, and in desperate situations, I’ll buy a case for ten bucks. Oakes (8142), Kowloon, Hong Kong
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Surprisingly malty aroma with light grain and grassy hops. Malty start (for style, it ain’t doppelbock). Mouthfeel gets a bit of a slick corn oil feel, which really is tough to swallow and could be offset with some hop bitterness, should they choose to add some. Notably lacking in hop character, just pale malts and corn grits. And lots of sky blue water. STEPHENDR (478), California, USA
