Aroma of grain, corn, sweet malts, and metal. Flavor is grainy, corn-like, slight metallic hops finish. Thin body, blah. bigtasty (23), USA

It’s unfair that demonswill like Bud is allowed to exist, yet truly interesting cheap brews like Hamm’s aren’t as successful as they deserve to be.
Let’s rise against Mickey Mouse beers and rediscover the beers of our forefathers. Mrthirstyneck (341), Minnesota, USA

Coming full circle with this beer - probably the first beer I ever had in my life - used to steal sips of this from my Dad when I was six years old! Pours a light golden, with a thin, pithy white head. Metallic, American lager aroma with hints of grass. Flavor is old fashioned American lager with hints of steel and a bit of honey sweetness. I could imagaine drinking this after a long day on the farm. Thinnish mouthfeel, but refreshing. Delivers what it promises. 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 13, 2006 Thanks Beth. The beer pours (poured some on the ground and drank from the can) to thin transparent pale yellowish body with a white head. The aroma is not offensive. Simple silage and grains. The flavor is actually not bad either. Simple unoffensive grains. Corn. Light cooked carrots, hops. Surprisingly drinkable. The palate is light bodied. Watery. Less disgusting than some other Miller products. I think I can actually finish drinking this one. BetterRedFred (62), Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Apr 2, 2006 Don’t know why this one gets such a bad rap. When I’m in the mood for a light american-style pilsener that’s as light as a light beer, but without the watered down taste, Hamm’s is my first choice every time. And at $5.30/12 pack, how can you go wrong? I still remember the Hamms bear commercials - from the land of sky blue waters - MUCH more original than today’s current shlock! This is a VERY drinkable light american Pilsener for a VERY REASONABLE price! Drink some. WisconsinBeer (526), St Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Feb 26, 2006 Surprisingly this beer is not as offensive as I expected it to be. The beer I am drinking is apparently regular "Hamms" but could be easily mistaken for "Hamms Light". This beer is very thin and bubbly with almost no discernable flavor other than a hint of vegetables and stale grains. I actually prefer this to most microbrews because there is nothing really cloying about it. Just a nice watery lager that you could easily drink alot of. vomit (65), USA

This stuff reminds me of the 1970’s. Possibly because, it tastes like it was brewed in 1979, and has been sitting on the shelf since. Well, maybe not that bad. But not so good either.
This is the kind of beer, I would buy just so I could offer it to people at home, and see who is a puss, and who is not?
A mans beer, good for after-work, after-dinner, and after-shock.
"Hamms, the beer refreshing! Hamms!"
