Good for memories. hopmaster (7), redlands, California, USA does not count | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 7, 2005 Not nearly as bad as most of the ratings here suggest, Hamms is an old standby of many far-north huting cabins, duck blinds and ice-fishing shacks, and for good reason. If you haven’t spent a lot of time and money honing and refining your taste for craft-brewed beers, this brew is every bit as good (and bad) as bud or miller, and at half the price. Nary a better beer was made for mowing the lawn, drinking at a picnic (provided it’s provided free of charge), or drinking 24 beers when you only have $9.00. Not everyone can buy a $30 case of beer, and when you’re in the company of those who can’t, you can be proud to share a cold (hopefully tongue-numbingly cold) Hamms and a Bratwurst. You could definitely do worse. incutrav (577), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA

Pretty drinkable for an ultra cheap beer. A must for hunting or fishing trips robharing (82), Ormond Beach, Florida, USA

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Oct 7, 2004 Another flavorless pale lager, but had to give it a shot. Pours a yellow/golden color with a tall white fragile head. Corn and straw nose, very light malt. Taste is very watery and almost non-existant. Very flat tasting with not as gag inducing as some. burcusabrews (106), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Oct 5, 2004 From the land of sky blue waters (and one horrible brewmaster) Straw colored with a white head. Ricey Bud nose some hops but no malt. Mouthfeel okay. Flavor: there really is nothing good there. In fact there is nothing much much at all, but what is there is a gagging original taste followed by hollow nothingness.
