It's better than Miller or Bud, but that isn't saying much. Compared to other beers it's so-so. On it's own it sucks. Ernest (4513), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Aug 22, 2003 Can. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), with a strong note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, unclean. Light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Stinky, sweet, and dirty, but not without some bitterness in the finish. garrison (459), Cin. city, Ohio, USA

Better than many mega swills though, but the lingering sweetness does not go with the very light malt and hop tastes. JPDIPSO (4932), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 7, 2003 "From the land of sky blue waters", Oops thats a dated statement. Now I see it's "Born in the land of sky blue waters", but brewed in the land of Crypto and sewerage releases for the local WWT plant. Yellow straw color with a full head of foamy white bubbles that dissipates over time to leave only a few spots of lace. Light corn sweetness and a hint of floral hops. Wow, is this one sweet. Not a real malty sweetness more of a dextrine type that runs though quickly with the spritzy bubbles. These american standards are tough to rate as there is so little to rate. You look for faults. This one, while sweet has very few faults (assuming the recipe can not be called a fault). American Standard at it more mediorce.
