Commercial Description:
Another classic beer produced by Pabst Brewing Company. From the land of sky blue waters, Hamms is truly the beer refreshing. Hamms has a legacy of quality and tastyness that is unrivaled by any beer known to man. Back in the olden days, Hamms was traded by the Spanish for spices and fine silks from the orient, which were then transported across the seas and traded for more Hamms

Hamms is the beer refreshing, Hamms! Those were some great commercials back in the day. Beer is pretty solid for a macro as well.

Part of a six can blind pale lager tasting with Blatz, Miller High Life, Pabst, Hamms and Budweiser. I like the bear and I remember the commercials as kids. Now they’ve taken away the advertisers ability to use anything that might appeal to kids and all we get are the lame ads between Budweiser and Miller. The bear aside, this beer is bad. Straw yellow, medium dissipating head. Aroma of sweet malt and corn. Taste of malt and corn. Watery, astringent and metallic, a nice winning combo.

This is water and corn and water with no taste and no way i would trade anything for it. I can say this is at the bottom of even pale lagers.

Can, somewhere in Oregon, summer ’08.
Pours like yellow poo-water. The aroma made me say, out loud: ’’Who let the corn out?’’ It should have ham in it; that would be an improvement. Watery mouthfeel. It sucks, but it’s better than malt liquor.

Not as bad as Bud, but not much better. I think they got this beer from the bear that used to do the commercials. Nasty stuff.

Only after having this fairly recently, I asked myself if I had ever reviewed it. Hamms is like an old american (mainly 60’s-70’s wisc) traditional brew that has dusty, cracked faded signs still hanging around redneck bars in the northwoods of Wiscnsin still promoting it. I had it again last week when my friend got 2 for $1 at a local bar here in Madison. Pours a bright pee yellow colour with a full but quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is grainy, malty and lemony all the way through. Nothing too spectacular, nostalig for some im sure- but otherwise a waste of time and the liver.

Pours golden/yellow color with a white head that surprisingly, does not dissipate immediately. Aroma is malts and corn. Goes down like water. Perfect for binge drinking, and that’s all.
