Commercial Description:
Another classic beer produced by Pabst Brewing Company. From the land of sky blue waters, Hamms is truly the beer refreshing. Hamms has a legacy of quality and tastyness that is unrivaled by any beer known to man. Back in the olden days, Hamms was traded by the Spanish for spices and fine silks from the orient, which were then transported across the seas and traded for more Hamms

I love the haters of good, summertime beer. Hamms is a fantastic old favorite. Yeah, you’re going to have a stiff hangover, but don’t drink 12 of them. If anyone knows where to find Hamms on the East Coast, let me know.

12 oz can. Typical american lager. Corny malt aromas, high drinkability, but thats about it.

12oz can. Super pale yellow color, but excellent head retention and lacing. Light grainy aroma. The flavor is a little sweet with pretty much no bitterness. You can really taste the grain flavors much more than in more mainstream macros. Husky and corny flavors are quite apparent, but add some character that I feel gets lost in the pure flavorlessness of miller or bud. Definitely tastes cheap, but hey, it is. Similar to PBR, but a side-by-side shows it to be a little rougher. Though it’s still only suitable for occasions where you are forced into the style, Hamms really does seem to be a good example of the american macro lager.

12 ounce can. My sister and I picked up a six pack of this to cook bratwurst. We had a few left over, so I decided to give one a whirl. I need to preface this by saying that being a college student, I have had a LOT of cheap beer. This one was surprisingly not that bad. I drak it straight out of the can so I cannot say what it looked like... I would assume it looked like your typical pale lager. The smell was not offensive... it was very light with hints of grass and some VERY light hops. The taste was bland but not offensive at all. It did not leave a bad aftertaste which raises this a notch in my book. For what this is, it is a decent brew!

2008 Can - On can at the Modern Bar, I don’t know whether it was the neo-beatnik scene of a Boise bar trying to emulate Portland, or the throngs of drunk fifty-somethings making me feel daring and too young to be drinking in a bar, but I have to admit, hamms + ambiance = not piss...it had an aroma like grass and high school, flavour was light bitter, light malt, light gymsock, high carbonation...to be honest, I liked this light lager more now with my discerning tastes than I did when I was 16 and willing to ask strangers to buy me beer, that being said, it still sucks...

Can. A small sized white head that was creamy and smooth with small-medium sized bubbles that mostly diminished. The body was carbonated and transparent with a yellow hue. The nose was dirty smelling and also somewhat sour. The flavor was sweet, lightly bitter tasting, and somewhat malty. The mouthfeel was tingly and watery and thin. This was a light bodied beer with sparse lacing.

Can from Belmont Beverage. Pours clear pale color with an average frothy white head that diminished quickly with minimal lacing. Moderate sweet grainy aroma. Medium body and soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of short duration. I would not recommend this beer to a freind.
