Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - December. Also available bottle conditioned.
Dark ruby beer brewed as a winter warmer, with a rich caramel candy and roasted malt base. Rather than rely on malt complexity but little hop presence, this beer is generously hopped throughout the boil, giving a fruity, almost scented aroma with some spice notes to add to the feast of seasonal flavours.

A very dark ale with a strong white head. A sweetish fruity nose and a sweet caramel taste, with a strong finish of roasted malt.

Cask conditioned @ Standing Order (JDW), Soton. Lots of sweet caramelly malt flavours with the slightest touch of fruit. Fairly sweet the whole way through with some bitterness right at the end. Some interest but a bit sweet.

Brownish apperance and poured with a small head.Slightly nutty with traces of malt. Lacks the acidity that many British bottle conditioned beers seem to have. An above average ale-but can you really call it a strong ale at 5 per cent?
