Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - August. Also available bottle conditioned. Formerly known as Gold Reserve.
Ingredients: Lager malt and Caramalt; First Gold, Goldings and Styrian Goldings hops. - Brilliant gold colour with an inviting citrus fragrance of late added Golding hops. The fine hop and light malt aroma's carry through to the palate to give an ale that is full but refreshing and with a clean bitter finish.

Cask (Gatekeeper JDW, Cardiff) - Golden/amber with a slight haze. Peach aroma with a hoppy grapefruit element. Citrus hoppy taste with a faint aniseed hint. Not bad.

Cask at Artillery Arms, Ramsgate: Bland malty beer. Aroma is a little malt and caramel, flavour much the same. Really doesn’t pull it off though. Wouldn’t drink this again.

A Mes rate: Cask at Baker Street ’Sporks.
Clean gold with a sparkler head and lace. Bland pale bready malt with some very slight hops. Notes of tea and hazelnuts. Faint bitterness in the finish with some more bread. As dull as John Major.

Cask in the new crown. Aroma has ethanol, pale buttery malts, Not much hop character. Taste is similer the grassy hop character is minimal and the sweet pale malts dominate.

Somerset Arms, Gravesend. As Gold Reserve. Nice caramel and apple beer, quite sweet. Pleasant juicy hops - quite soft, but emerging in the finish. A nice beer.
