Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.
Hops! Abundant aroma of the fruit of the hop, citrus and fragrant with orange, grapefruit and lemon hints. Powerful Cascade hop aroma through to aftertaste with distinctive bitterness complemented by good strength of malt character. Bright copper colour and a hop feast worthy of a serious India Pale Ale.
Ingredients: Maris Otter and Crystal malts; Challenger, Golding and Cascade hops.

Hazy copper-orange color with a large frothy off white head that leaves a some lacing in my glass, citrus and fruity aroma. Apple, pear and caramel flavors with a mild hop bite, medium body with a creamy and soft mouthfeel, finishes on the sweet side, a decent session IPA.

Bottle. Pours a dull orange amber body with a thin white lacing. Aroma is malty caramel hints of iron some light hop resins, this aint gonna be good. Dry malty raisin like caramel base and a hint of moth. This is not an IPA. the end.

Cask at Market Porter, London Bridge 18 Nov 08. A rapidly dissolving fluffy head. Inviting hoppy & fruity aroma. Sweet flavor of apricot. Some more fruity hints in the aftertaste.

Cask (Standing Order JDW, Southampton) - Dark golden/amber in colour. Nicely hoppy aroma with grapefruit standing out. Hoppy and lightly fruity taste with the grapefruit notes giving a rather bitter finish. Not bad but a bit watery. It’s a shame this brewery has gone under.

Cask at the Eastbourne Beer Festival, 9th Oct 2008. Amber, no head. Citrus hop aroma with lots of grapefruit. Taste is similar - very refreshing but also balanced. Sharp finish. Truly refreshing summer golden ale that would be perfect after you’d worked up a sweat. Unfortunately it seems I caught the last appearance as the brewery closed in November :(

Bottle@BlindTastingSession. Hoppy aroma with sweet citrus and apple. Yellow color, off-white head, fair lace. Light sweet, light sourness underneath, bitter, iodine, peaty, hint of citrus. Very interesting but low drinkablity.

Clear medium amber orange color with a average, creamy to frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, notes of peat, moderate hoppy, grass, grapefruit - orange. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (040508)

BCA from Centurion Vintners, Stroud. Amber with a big, foamy white head and plenty of carbonation. Aroma of grapefruit, apricots and earthy malt. Full mouth feel with a slightly sweet malt flavour, with some caramel and a mouth puckering citric hop finish. Very good.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm) Copper colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with dark fruit, citrus and earthy hops. Fruity, malty taste with citrus, toffee and lots of earthy, slightly metallic bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Brilliant balance between fruit, malt and hops. Very nice beer.
