Commercial Description:
Double Peg makes it’s return! This brew is what hop lovers long for. With just over nine pounds of hops per barrel, including twenty-four pounds of dry hops, this ale just screams hops. Three different rounds of dry-hopping gives this I2PA it’s intense aroma that we so love here at the Brewhouse. Get ready for a taste of the fresh, green goodness of hops! ABV 8.3%

On draught at Brewgrass ’07. The second beer I had of the festival. I wasnt really in the beer drinking mood for some reason on this day, but this could have easily changed everything. Amazing floral pine aroma with a thick, juicy citrus hop flavor and a perfectly balanced caramel malt backbone. This is really well made, fresh, clean, and oh so tasty. Alcohol hidden and bitterness just pefect. Well done TL!

Growler courtesy of kp sampled on 1/4/07: Pours a slightly hazy copper orange with a nicely-lacing, thin wispy white head. Sweet, piny grapefruity hoppy aroma has a nice touch of caramel malt. Body starts full and caramely sweet with good fresh hoppy flavor throughout. A nice double IPA.

Ever so faintly cloudy orange, with a white head. Really enticing resiny, piney aroma. A little earthy at first, then an explosion of grapefruit and other citrusy hops. Long sticky finish. Impressive. At the 2007 Knoxville Brewer’s Jam.

Pours a deep hazy copper with a miniscule head of china white. Bombastic aromas of citrusy hops nad sticky pine. Boisterous. Grapefuity flavors along with pine tree character on the tongue. Bitterness rules the day, wiping away any residual citrusy sweetness or sticky pine. Alcohol lingers insidiously and can knock you around if you let it. A tasty treat.

Enjoyed at 2008 Brewgrass. I’m not sure what isn’t good about this brew. Great aroma, and the drinkablilty is just supurb. Very hoppy with pine and resin as well as a malty profile. Citrus....Good!!

on tap at Brewgrass. Ah, here we go: cloudy orange with a thick white head. This stuff smells awesome. It’s dank and strong with loads of herbs, pineapple, ammonia, grapefruit. It is very hoppy and very defined. This is semi sweet in the way of flavor with lots of lemon along with hints of pine, ganja, and herbal bitterness. This is a very stanky, drity-nasty IIPA. Great stuff.

Draft at brewpub. 10 oz. snifter. Pours a cloudy reddish with a good size tan head. Hints of simcoe hops, cascade hops, citrus fruits, candied sugar, spices. Finished smooth and stuck to my tongue like a STD. Very impressed with this one from this brewery.

GABF 2009. Lighter copper yellow pour. Big citrusy hop flavor, great balance & big hop flavor, weak color not indicative of the great flavor in this beer. hopheads seek this out
